Mr. Boneless

Imperial Brown

Band members: Joe / Nate / Elliot / Brian

Band bio: Four years ago we began making music in Fredonia, NY. We then decided to perform the music, move around, record the music and settle down in Buffalo to decide what the hell to do next.

You might like us if: you like the Pixies, drinking with Tom Waits, 80s punk, sci-fi movies or Smashing Pumpkins.

Why you should win the Online Battle of Original Music: The primary reason we are pursuing the lives of rock stars and continuing to keep up our musical career is—as the great Bone Thugs-N-Harmony once said—for the love of money. Seriously. We’re broke.

Band members: Rob Brocklehurst - guitar / Brad Darrall - drums / Tom Danat - bass, Kurt Ebsary - keyboards

Band bio: Imperial Brown has been distributing grooves in and around Buffalo since 2012 with founding members Rob Brocklehurst, Tom Danat and Brad Darrall hailing from Buffalo’s suburban oasis of musicality, North Tonawanda. Formerly, Brocklehurst and Danat made up half of the Twin City Kings while Darrall originated with Aqueous. The band evolved in late 2013 with the addition of keyboardist Kurt Ebsary, also a Buffalo native. Together as Imperial Brown, the band looks to balance intricate and crafted songwriting while breathing life into extended jams.

You might like us if: like Snarky Puppy, Umphrey’s Mcgee, Phish, Steely Dan, Vulfpeck, The Nth Power.

Why you should win the Online Battle of Original Music: Our songwriting is carefully crafted to maximize grooves per second. At the core of it all, we want to share our music with as wide an audience as possible and feel strongly that the diversity of our musical influences and interests leave just about everyone with a reason to groove along with us.
