Wild Things

Band members: Andrew Douglas - guitars, bass, keyboards, percussion / Paul Alguire - guitars, vocals

Band bio: Letterbox came to fruition in Buffalo New York circa 2013 when Paul Alguire and Andrew Douglas met at a local show and began breathing life into their musical ideas. Both seasoned musicians, it was not long before the duo had recorded, mixed, and mastered their very own EP in the comforts of Douglas’ own home. A complete DIY band, Douglas multi-instrumental skills coupled with Alguire’s voice and rhythm guitar playing have allowed Letterbox to remain successful in a rapidly changing and ever-demanding music scene.

You might like us if: like Goo Goo Dolls, Matt Nathanson, The Fray or even Butch Walker..

Why you should win the Online Battle of Original Music: Letterbox can be the next $5,000 BOOM winner because in a world gone gray our songs can be that little splash of color that you need to get through your day. We do not try to redefine a genre or fit any type of commercial mold. Music is who we are and what we do as people. It is how we pay our bills and put food on the table.

Band members: Nicholas Stilb - vocals, synth, rhythm guitar / David Bruce - bass guitar, backing vocals / Jeff Lauricella - lead guitar, backing vocals / Jeff Crawford - drums, backing vocals

Band bio: Formed in the Fall of 2014, we set out with the goal to create some of the catchiest and energetic pop/rock songs this area has heard. We quickly wrote, recorded, and released our debut single “Little Ships” on New Year’s Day 2015. The response has been great so far, and we were swiftly contacted for show opportunities as well as a request to record a live acoustic set with 107.7 Alt Buffalo (as well as being played on their localized Buffalo show the first week of its release).

You might like us if: like The Killers, Neon Trees, Walk the Moon, Bleachers.

Why you should win the Online Battle of Original Music: Bottom line, we love this city. We love all the people who come out to shows. Playing live for these kids, it is so much more than just listening to music. It is a sanctuary—a place where you feel accepted.
